How Pythodex works
Trade on real-world outcomes, or build a fantasy team for today's matches. Here is what happens at each step.
Prediction markets
- 1Pick a question: a match, an election, where Bitcoin ends the hour.
- 2Buy Yes or No. The price is the crowd's chance: 62¢ means 62%.
- 3If you are right, each share pays $1; if not, it pays nothing.
- 4Sell any time before the market closes to lock in a gain or cut a loss.
Fantasy contests
- 1Choose a match and pick 11 players within 100 credits, at most 7 from one team.
- 2Name a captain (2× points) and a vice-captain (1.5× points).
- 3Join a contest before the start; teams lock when the match begins.
- 4Players score from what they do on the field; the best teams share the prizes.
Your wallets
- 1Deposit: money you add. Spent first on trades and contest entries.
- 2Bonus: promotional credit, usable on part of a contest entry.
- 3Winnings: what you win. Withdraw it to your own wallet when you like.
- 4Every entry and payout is recorded on-chain, so it can be checked.
Fees
Buying in a marketA platform fee, shown on the ticket before you confirm.
Fantasy contestsPart of each entry fee; the prize pool is shown on every contest.
Questions
Where do market prices come from?
From live order books: a price is what traders are paying right now. There is no house line.
Who decides the result?
Each market's rules name its resolution source (for example an official league result or a price feed). You can read them on the market page.
How are fantasy points counted?
From our sports data partner's official scoring for each match, then the captain and vice-captain multipliers are applied.
Can I change my fantasy team?
Yes, as often as you like until the match starts. After that, teams are locked.
How do I withdraw?
From the dashboard: Winnings can be sent to a wallet address you control.
Trading and contests involve risk: you can lose the full amount you put in. Only play with money you can afford to lose, and check that these products are legal where you live.
